Why did I let this go again?
Lockdowns are a good time to reminisce. Not to smile but to kick oneself. I mistimed selling this and it was totally unnecessary too. I think I just felt guilty looking at $$$ sitting on my small watchbox unworn. This would have been a good time to rebond with it. What I do miss about it is how it felt on the wrist. The bracelet experience is sublime and something that's not quite replicated on the Air King. With the latter, you know you have a fun toolwatch on your wrist. With the Milgauss, the silky feel of the bracelet let's you know that you have something just a bit more special. And it's something that I miss. Apart from the Sub which is on my list, I might just entertain returning to the Milgauss or perhaps maybe a Datejust.
You'd think this pandemic would mean people paring down and thinking less of non-essentials yet here I am still dreaming about watches. Probably "luxury" represents the last bastion of civility that we want to hold on to in a mad rush to buy that last can of Spam :p

Seeking beauty and cultivate a passion are great opportunities we have during these difficult times...Only something to be proud of.
Too bad you let this specific watch go, in my opinion (of which you took a couple of stunning pics!), but I'm also certain that many more pieces that you'll fully love will come along when the world reopens! Stay safe! ;-)
The lightning bolt was the number 1 reason why I bought a black one when it came out - more than 10 years ago now
The negative for me was the brushed center link of the bracelet...
I've been thinking about a Milgauss as well.
Have never owned a modern Rolex, and I'm starting to think that could be the one. (Definitely one with the green glass, though!)

I've seen combos with white or orange rubber straps that looks cool.
Somtimes you don't realize how much you like a watch until you let go. I have 4 or 5 watches like that which I Won't sell a 2nd time. There's still a couple more like that I'm still looking
for... and move often than not I've had to pay more the 2nd time around to have that same watch, in the same condition... again.

The white dial Milgauss is my favorite variant
I think it has a more scientific look to it. Sorry you had to let it go!
I was in my white dial phase then and absolutely enjoyed the hell out of it..
Then one day, white phase turned to black for some inexplicable reason.

Very nice watch! Luxuries are things we focus on after we have the necessities. Seems like you already have the SPAM, so that's why you can divert your attention to watches. If you didn't have the SPAM, then we probably wouldn't be thinking about watches....
