Tudor Heritage Black Bay 79220N

The Tudor Heritage Black Bay Black ref. 79220N was released on October 14th, 2015. During Baselworld 2016, March 17th, only five months later, Tudor discontinued all the Black Bay’s with ETA movements and present the 79230N, now with the in-house movement ref MT5602 and updated dial layout and reveted bracelet.

This makes the 79220N the shortest production model ever in Tudor’s history. One of the important Tudor AD’s in Belgium told me they only got 2 ref 79220N delivered through that period. Multiplied by the number of AD’s clearly indicates the low production number of this model. It’s significance will only become relevant in due time. Already today I noticed a very limited or no offering on sites like Chrono24, clearly showing the rarity of this beautiful Tudor Heritage Black Bay.

Some say boldly (indeed very boldly) that this 79220N might become the new Paul Newman Daytona of the future. I guess only the future will tell. One thing is sure that it is a damn nice Tudor watch for its price.
