The time and place for lume.
As some of you may know I have a bit of a love and hate relationship with luminous material on watches. A serious complication for me does not need lume on its dial or hands. On these Tudors on the other hand it’s a must.
This shot was taken after this box saw daylight for a matter of only 30 seconds or so. What a tribute to the quality of the material used by Tudor on their divers. Note the different colour on the Pelagos’. They are also the brightest love the bezel on the FXD.

Lume is an underrated aspect of sports watches
Having a bright and colorful lume adds another layer of coolness to the design of the watch. I agree with you on dress watches and complications, it's not necessary, and sometimes it can ruin the look of the hands or the dial.
It certainly does.
And can ruin the dial also. Who needs to tell the time in dim light when you have a complication on?? We have phones and digital watches for that. Complications are works of art. M.

Absolutely agree.
I am a bit stronger in my opinion that most in that lume on hands and dials has stopped me buying many watches. Which I am sure my wallet is thankful for. Serious watches = No lume. M.
