The Fateful Day has finally arrived
Twelve years ago I took possession of this car. It is the sleekest thing I've ever owned (and nearly invisible to larger vehicles). Better aerodynamics and lighter weight than a Citroen or Lotus.
This is the first clear photo I have of the dashboard. The fuel economy shown is "lifetime average"

I still love this little car. It needs paint now, and I'd be inclined to go for the stock color. But given the close calls we've had in the last year with people not seeing us, I'm going to get a much louder horn, and maybe this other, more noticeable factory paint color!

Fantastic when a car turns 100k miles

UK gallons are 20% larger than US gallons
That's the reason for the difference. My car has done as much as 70 mpg on trips, but around town it's average has dropped to the mid-fifties. And my miles are "real" versus "advertised" And I drive it hard, not economically. Mike

Yeah - 70 Euro mpg’s is very good across its life. Don’t see many Prius in UK. Amazed by recent trips to Amsterdam & Oslo on the preponderance of electric cars - are they catching on US side too? Cheers. Giles

That is crazy with a petrol, i managed with my wife's Renault Laguna 1,5 Dci .. yes diesel .. and i can tell you the truckers on the highway weren't pleased with me doing 45 - 50 mph . But i managed 3,3 l/ 100 km=70 mpg ! Soo much easier with a diesel off...
This must be the only car in it's segment i like.
In a way it looks so wrong, but when i started looking at the complete picture (especially the lack of wheel arches at the back) i liked it more and more. I bet these days you can NOT find a car with this fuel consumption .. 4,2l/100km for a petrol ? Back...
Honda at its best
