Boeing 747 birthday #50 but today is Lotus birthday #70
A celebration went on at Hethel factory and race track, with one of every model circling the track, live streaming of the entire event (sorry I was watching it and didn't warn y'all).
Afterwards, since as Van Morrison says "It's a golden autumn day", we woke up our two Lotuses and went for a little drive.
(actually I was working on a Delft clock so I had to wash and wipe it off while my wife finished up wiping)

I forget how RED they look compared to all the somber paint colors of today's cars.

Lotus of course requires a bit of care every time you drive. In this case, I had to fix the positive battery cable.
This cable is 12 feet long - the R&R procedure is remove body, replace cable, replace body of car. So I just trimmed an inch and replaced the clamp-on end.
The two-car drive was fun, but you will have to take my word for it - no time for messing with cameras.
