The almost perfect diving watch for me...
It seems like the new 41mm subs are receiving a lot of attention everywhere, though I would think it’s partly due to hype/FOTM, the slimmer lugs and longer PR does make it an attractive offer.
I, on the other hand, prefer Tudor’s BB58 as my almost perfect diving watch, although the only diving I do is desk diving.
The BB58 was launched with similar hype but things have died down abit and it’s now not that difficult to find one at AD. Perfectly sized at 39mm, for my hands at least, the vintage inspired dial, beautiful bezel and highly comfy bracelets makes it almost perfect for me. The only nag is the pseudo-rivets, Tudor should have either rivet or do away with them.

but it’s a dimension that’s getting phased out with new launches or on a hard to get watch, like AP’s 15202.
Quality/price ratio is definitely a plus for BB58...
and I find the aluminium bezel more alluring compared to a ceramic bezel. Comparing the wrist shots that I have taken recently, the BB58 is most pleasing to the eyes.
Same here! I don't understand the rush for ceramic bezels.
They almost never look as good as the aluminum they replaced!

Tudor managed well with BB58. They look nice and have in-house movement. Whether they are available immediately in the shop or must the watch be ordered you get it In any case rather soon.
No question an appealing piece.
For me, the 39mm is also a sweet spot. And the vintage inspired styling is also a big plus. What I’ve found with Tudor previously, and this is what is holding me back on the 58 for the last few years, is that given the choice I always chose the big brothe...
