Seeking opinion of the 1815 Chrono on bracelet.
As some of you may know, I am very much a bracelet person, primarily because of the hot and humid weather here which makes wearing watches on leather straps uncomfortable, for me at least.
I have been thinking about adding a Lange for quite some time and have considered the Datograph and 1815 Chrono along with the Langematik Perp. While the Datograph was my preference I feel that having it on the PT bracelet would make the watch too heavy (and expensive) to be a daily wearer even though I have only tried one on the strap - which is already quite heavy.
Lange confirms that it has a WG bracelet for the 1815 Chrono (will fit both old and new versions) and I may go for it. Here is a picture sent to me by Lange:

Yes it is heavier but...
The overall weight is well spread on the wrist: that's the key point for a bracelet! With a strap, all the weight is concentrated into the case. So heavier: yes. Less comfortable: no. Fr.Xavier

Im sure the bracelet looks better in person. Its there any way that you could get the Datograph style bracelet in WG for this piece? Tony

for sharing your view. The sole reason why I wanted a bracelet is that, I know, without it the watch will be left on the safe most of the time. So I'd rather spend a bit more to be able to really enjoy the piece. Best, Goh

I understand your desire and need for bracelets, I completely empathize. But the 1815 Chrono, a watch I really love, needs to be on a strap, IMHO. From the photos I have seen, it just does not look right on a bracelet, especially the one that Lange would ...

It'll be nice if my AD is able to get one on the bracelet for me to view and try without first committing to a purchase. Perhaps I should insist...? That way, I can make a better judgement on it - aesthetic, comfort, weight, etc. Best, Goh

really depends on your relationship with your AD.... If you have a good one, you could insist.... But bear in mind that the bracelets are not easy to find, so even if your AD wants to accommodate you, he/she might not be able to.... No harm in trying... B...

have a good relationship with my AD. But the problem is that this older style 1815 chrono isn't available anymore. Getting them to acquire just the bracelet for me to try does not make business sense as margin on the bracelet is much lower. Best, Goh

is, then, that you ask your AD to get you some other Lange with a bracelet and see if you like the look and feel.... If you do, then order the bracelet for the older model.... (I assume that you would need to put on reserve the 1815 from your seller, righ...

That's why I asked the AD of the possiblity of bringing in a new 1815 chrono on the bracelet...but I also have to be upfront with them that I'll only be getting just the bracelet if all goes well. That doesn't seems to make much business sense to them, wh...

Yes I would prefer strap, but that's not quite the point of your post. I think it looks surprisingly nice on that bracelet!
I am the odd one out since I think the 1815 looks nice on that bracelet
so why not? BTW have you tried leather straps with rubber insides - supposedly they work even in hígh humidity? Best Andreas

but if it is not an option you will consider...does it matter what other thinks? have you investigated going to a goldsmith and custom make one. IMHO, the original bracelet looks dated and way too many links.

another vote for a strap
As much as I love Lange watches, I find their bracelets unrefined and inconsistent with the sleek and substantial characteristics of the watches themselves. You can always explore materials other than calf or crocodile to find something which is more suit...
