1815 Chonograph

While I prefer a strap, in part because I find bracelets uncomfortable, I don't think that the bracelet detracts from the beauty of the watch.  Regarding the watch itself, I highly recommend the old style dial 1815 chonograph (WG).  If you have not seen the watch, the depth and beauty of the dial has to be seen to be appreciated, and if you have seen it, you already know this.  The blue steel hands just pop.  Of course, I may be a bit biased as I just took delivery of one.  I've previously owned both platinum and gold Dato's, and prefer the Chono to them, not so much, especially in the case of the platinum, to the weight difference, but rather, to the difference in thickness between the two.  I also prefer the simplicity of the Chonograph dial.  Regarding weight, a platinum Dato on a platinum strap, is going to be on the heavy side.  Bottom line, if the watch speaks to you and you prefer a bracelet, get the Chronograph on a bracelet, but definitely get one.
