Do you have a pic of your IWC Yacht Club? AFAIK ,the Yacht Club was also released in the 70ies, and there were some identical approaches between JLC and IWC on a few watches. So, it xouldn't surprised me... Best, my friend. Nicolas

Pretty amazing. I never new JLC made Memovoxes in so much different shapes and styles. Quite odd this one without seeing the lugs. Bit pebble shaped in my opinion. And whether you like this or not you have to give those designers credits for some daring d...

nicolas, so I do understand the progession, from the orginal shape of the first memovonx to the tribute's project... step by step, following an history of fashion. black dial gives more power for this tough tool... so nice. O

While building my collection around some themas like the Alarm watches, and the Divers Watches... Some watches represent these 2 categories, like the Polaris or the Deep Sea Alarm, or the newest Navy Seals Alarm. But I can't say NO to a Black Vintage Memo...

Jaeger Lecoultre " La Grande Maison ". Jaeger Lecoultre " A Guide for the Collector " by Zaf BASHA. And I forgot the name, but there is also a very interesting book about the Reverso, which was released in 1991. With these 3 books, you're pretty well cove... 

"Perfect, and complete, as it will allow me to end this family collection!" Are you really sure that with the 2 aforementionned watches the quest for vintage black memos would be ended ? Well... I think you will have to search longer if you really want to...  

About the origin of my E 877. About Black Memovoxes, there is a third I know, which comes with numbers instad of indexes, and which is a Lecoultre one. After I may investigate in the " Double signatures ", and maybe I will find something interesting... Bu... 

I was thinking of a European black memo (in addition to the US you mentionned). I know at least one (and maybe 2) other black ones. As far as double signature are concerned, this is also an interesting topic. BTW, I saw you posted 'somewhere' a picture of... 

Sad to say i can't join in the fun forever, for they are all automatics! Unless of course, you could speak up to JLC for me to create a one off remontage manuel just for me! LOl A bientot Stephen

Seriously, Stephen, there are some manual wind Memovoxes, but they don't come with black dial, and they are a bit small... But If JLC had, in a close future, the excellent idea to make a release of the Memovox, in 40mm, with a manual wind movement, and a ...

Your point is very interesting, indeed. When the Snowdrop was released, do you think that at this moment, all the JLC lovers were happy with? It was quite innovative, when you look at the previous JLC production, and a bit in the " air du temps " ( See fo...

I think I like the dial and case of the E 877 the best of the four, but I have never been a big fan of the lugless look. The Speed Boat, on the other hand -- that's fantastic! Best, Jed
