Since buying my OP 13 months ago I had been contemplating complimenting the dial and watch with a suitable strap. I prefer straps to bracelets but admit that Rolex’s bracelet is well part of the overall OP styling and with its superb clasp, is extremely comfortable to wear. After five months of wear my OP had mechanical issues from new that were quickly fixed by Rolex in London and this delayed my plans until now. Having seen mj23’s OP on a strap reported here recently I think it works well and am happy to admit my imitation now flatters his courage to sport a strap. Not sure about a NATO strap as shown by Nono01 on his Explorer, but the green was sympathetic to the RE's function and colour highlight.
I have just received and fitted a blue strap from the German source I had previously used and now show here. Unfortunately I only have a generic deployant clasp. A signed Rolex 16mm clasp would be desirable although most probably extremely rare to find. (I recently bought a new, very reasonably priced signed and tagged U-N clasp for my San Marco; so these things may well exist rather than in a dream!)
Enjoying my OP 36 in new shoes! I love the dial especially with the 3-6-9 indices. Unlikely to go near water.
