Ming impression

I received the Ming 27.01, which is my first experience with Ming.  I don’t know how it compares with the earlier releases since this one is referred to as extra flat or ultra thin.  Regardless, it wears and comes across as a very attractive classically minded piece.  Additionally, despite its relatively smaller size (depending on what one is normally accustomed to), it has notable wrist presence.  By this I mean it is not a featherweight piece that you forget you have a watch on, nor is it obtrusive in any way...instead, it is just right.  The striking balance of classic characteristics and uniquely modern (IMHO) Ming design features altogether make for a watch that impressed me much more than I anticipated. I even liked the burgundy strap combination that I wasn’t appreciating in the pictures. Again, I don’t have any of their earlier awesome releases, so I’ll be interested to read what others who have more than one Ming have to say.

As a growing micro brand Ming looks to have an interesting and well executed growth strategy that will make collectors increasingly interested while attracting new enthusiasts with a chance to own a thoughtfully engineered piece at a great value point.  Thank you for looking.
