Thanks, IWC. And here’s a couple of quick shots of the movement.

It’s basic, but provides a nice visual of the workings. On the lateral view you also get a glimpse of the case workings.

Huge Congrats dear A . Excellent choice.

But it’s the first model that really brought my attention to the brand. Thanks for sharing.

Great wristshots of two beautiful pieces!

Well done — I like the Ming aesthetic— that strap goes well with the sweater.

Agreed on the instant likability of the Ming aesthetic. I’m a fan.

A little different from most Mings

The dial composition and extra flat case make the 27.01 different from other Ming watches. Ming watches are generally 10 mm or more in thickness (13+ for the 18.01) and are heavily lumed.

I have had my 27.01 since September 2020. It has performed well, keeping reasonable time and performing consistently with its stated power reserve. I do find the movement to feel a bit delicate when winding, which I would expect from such a thin movement. The keyless works feel and sound is good, much better than the 2824 based 18.01.

I like the universal bracelet as an accessory. It isn't too thick for the watch, and adds a sporty element. That said, as the bracelet is titanium, the color looks a bit grey next to the stainless steel 27.01 case. If that's a problem, the bracelet may be a no go.

Congratulations on your acquisition!

Your experience and insights are greatly appreciated, thank you 🙏🏼

Your point about the relatively ‘delicate’ feel of the movement at winding is an especially helpful point to hear, as is your use of the universal bracelet.

There’s one more reason for your enjoyment

Apart from it being a well designed and well built watch, MING has successfully created scarcity out of his watches. You notice that the price point is attractive therefore the demand is high, due to accessibility. The small production runs however, also went on to create a sense of scarcity. The scarcity factor almost always makes one’s ownership of the watch even more enjoyable.

Best,
