I bought some new wheels
After nearly 10 years with my Cayman I decided I'm getting too old to be getting down that low, and after checking prices and insurance, and a quick test drive I bought this 840i. Always loved the look of the 8 series coupe, old and new, but never thought I'd buy either a BMW or an automatic. But, it's fantastic. Much faster than the Porsche in a straight line, handles remarkably well, more economical and cheaper to insure than the Porsche, and I have room inside! I love wireless android auto and the head up display too. I do miss the steering feel and manual box, but you can't have everything.
I also have a new project car to work on. My dad's ex works MG Midget.

Congrats! I like BMW coupes.
I briefly owned a 22 M4 Competition xDrive. Rocket fast, I managed 3.0 secs to 60 w my son in the car. Very much a luxury coupe. More recently, I flirted with the manual Z4. I like the size of the car and the older style dash.

The interior reminds me of the M4.

I'd even consider the 5 series, which is on a similar chassis. Great machine. Big congrats! This car has double wishbone front suspension when your Porsche did not! A very nice machine! Did you get AWD or RWD?

I don't know where the car is, but I would always get a RWD if the weather allowed for it!
