Help with my first Patek
Hi All,
This is my first post on the forums!
After a few visits to the local ADs, I've narrowed down my choices to the following pieces. Although they are quite different from one another, I feel that either one would make a great choice for my first Patek. Please let me know which Patek you would choose from the 5146, 5170, 5235, or 5960. If you have any other additional suggestions that would be greatly appreciated.

I would got for the 5960, since the annual calendar seems to be important for you, and this dial is superb. Best! Nicolas

It seems you prefer white metal, that is all I know so far. All the references have pro´s and con´s, but in general you won´t go wrong with any of those. The most important thing (at least to me) is how it feels on your wrist and which one makes you smile...

Hi Oliver, Thank you for the welcome message to the forums. I have tried all of the pieces on and I'm very pleased with the feel / appearance of all four. I'm going to take a friend to the AD next time to offer an additional opinion.

I would go for a perpetual calendar
Over a 5960 P, as lovely it looks like, I would rather choose a 5140, 5159. Best Moritz

Annual calendars have to be set 1 time per year. It takes 0.5 minutes. That means per 525,600 minutes, you have to spend 0.5 of them setting the piece as opposed to 0.0. Annual calendars have excellent readability for the most part, unlike the 5140. I don...

Thanks for the additional insight! I really like the 5960 with the blue dial, but I'm not a fan of the blue strap. Are there any other strap combinations that you have seen that work well with the blue dial?
