It is possibly the most underrated coupe.

with 435 horsepower and 700 nm of torque coming from a 4.7 liter twin turbo V8 it is still a prenium car that can handle even all the latest pesky V6 twin turbos, that are giving a 911 from not so long a hard time on the Autobahn.
With many V8s it can also certainly can cope with.
It is actually a muscle car in a pretty Mercedes shell that is much, much more fun to drive than it looks like.

If you accelerate a bit harder then you are pushed into the seat and if you go down from the pedal you are moved slightly forward "out of" the seat. Like on a horse: a ride!

Depreciation is the worst point of this model. I bought mine as a used two year old car. New would have been too expensive for me.

...but at this point if I went that route I’d look at the S-class coupe. I am currently driving my son’s beat up Mazda (he’s living out of state). The next car I buy will be either all electric or an old beater Porsche for weekends.

Even if you push it hard: it just snarls/growls a little. It is nothing like a typical AMG. Discretion is all ... but if you press the pedal hard you are pressed into the seat. Even at 200 km/h if you press the pedal hard the car pulls with quite noticeab...

Looks fabulous with the Panamericana grill. My only complaint is that the S coupe cabine is a little too small for me. Rivals like Bentley and Aston Martin "helped" a lot to refine the interior in particular of the CL / S coupe. Cool looking S coupe there...
