Explain this to me
After getting my very first Lange 1 in yellow gold with the champagne color dial, one seller in prestige watches told me, I should have bought the Pink Gold or WG or Platinum with white or black dial and never the Yellow Gold. Really upset by his remarks, making me rethink did I made the right choice or should I sell this at a loss for what he thinks I should really be buying? After all, I personally like this original piece and its a Lange 1 I have been saving up to buy. I understand there are many variants to Lange 1, and some rare limited edition pieces, and some with different dial color. Someone put me back on the right path and let me enjoy wearing my first Lange 1 just like all the owners...

what do you care what other people think?! Your money, your watch. The YG Lange is absolutely classic and I assume will be with you for quite some time. And anyways, I think the blued hands really pop in a YG watch case.

Did you choose the watch yourself or did someone tell you to buy that exact version?
If the former, did you choose it because you liked the look of it so much or because it was the cheapest version you could find? Presumably it was the former, in which case smile at the idiot and say “That’s nice!” – then show him this video .

Lange 1 in yellow gold is stunning and very traditional. Wear it in good health. Personally, in a dress watch, I prefer rose gold with a black/dark dial, and either yellow gold or white metal with a white dial. Key word there is "personally." Don't listen...
