It's quite surprising that some one that works in the industry can give such an opinion on the basis of just a personal preference.
I sold my AP Royal Oak because I could not connect with the brand in the way I could with Breguet - My preference, my fault, my opinion, call it what you will, but I promise you that many people would think in the opposite way.
You bought it because you loved it ! Well done and enjoy ! Beautiful watch !
