I have recently acquired a birthdate sub and interested in the age old bracelet vs strap debate. The vintage bracelets feel very delicate, hence have move this on to a leather Everest strap. Stiching matches the dial patina spot on...

looks nice with the strap on it and you may rechange the braclet on it when ever you want to. Also when having an old classic with the strap its original bracelet doesn't stretch but stays in good condition. That naturally depends on it how much the watch...
