In my opinion it
looks nice with the strap on it and you may rechange the
braclet on it when ever you want to. Also when having
an old classic with the strap its original bracelet doesn't
stretch but stays in good condition. That naturally depends
on it how much the watch gets the wrist time.

You have got good reasons to spare your bracelet. A Sub with a strap works equally good, if the distance to the case is kept minimal. Your strap on the pictures seems to do but a bit more antiquing, like light scratches, would suit that strap.
Both work great.
