Chopard

Yeah... That's not good news...

Considering if we have 20 pieces demanded just by WPS members, that means that there's probably 200 to 800 pieces or more being demanded externally. It also doesn't make sense that Chopard would launch a watch at this price point and only make 60 pieces a year. True, they could be intentionally doing this to create one of those demand supply imbalances and create a watch with a cult following intentionally. A lot of brands do this with the sole intention of creating a cult watch. But also, with 160 pieces through 2024, the revenue of this watch will be relatively small. I also have noticed in the past that these CEOs say a conservative figure when it benefits them. And they often make a few more pieces. I can't say I know this for sure in KFS' case, but it is common in the industry. Who can blame them if they streamline production or they dedicate more employees to a specific model. As long as the quality is not reduced, I can't fault that. The watch is Geneva Sealed and COSC certified, so at least those are guarantees that can't be modified. Either way... Considering roughly 10% of the production will go to USA, at this rate, I don't think I'll be able to get one in 2024. But who knows...
