My fav w&w release. Chopard AE with a LUC movement. Perfect.

Thanks for the live pic!

When do you think you'll get yours? Mine is probably not going to be until late 2024!

So you will get it?

 By: amanico : May 25th, 2023-19:54

Yes very very soon

 By: Horology75 : May 25th, 2023-21:08

How cool!

 By: amanico : May 25th, 2023-21:11

Beautiful!

Seems that a lot of WPS members have placed orders. πŸ˜‰

Well, I did announce it on our Instagram as my favorite for W&W 2023.

 By: patrick_y : May 26th, 2023-06:06
And I think I mentioned it on here as well that Chopard was the winner this year with the 1860 with LUC movement and the Alpine Eagle XPS with LUC movement. Looks like a lot of people felt similarly. They were all quiet in the beginning since they didn't ...

Totally agree.

 By: amanico : May 26th, 2023-06:27

I hope you also get yours soon.

Only around 150-200 pieces will be made in 2023 and about the same in 2024.

 By: patrick_y : May 27th, 2023-04:53
I think there's already 20 new owners that will be on this website! Not surprisingly actually. For one of the Villeret models we had over a dozen owners out of the 50 made. And for the Richard Lange Pour Le Merite in platinum, there were 50 made worldwide...

I've heard lower as well.

 By: patrick_y : May 27th, 2023-18:08
The interview with KFS suggested as low as 50 pieces of each model for 2023. Main limitation is probably movement production. They didn't have that many 1.96 movements sitting around and their watchmakers can't exactly rush to build that many more. My est...

If the production numbers are really that low, I would think I won't get my watch until 2027 then...

 By: patrick_y : May 27th, 2023-18:11
If they're really around that 50 units per year... I don't think I will get my watch until 2027. I only recently got my order in. Chopard was even a little reluctant to take my order. I was told by the sales individual that she herself had already "severa...

Yeah... That's not good news...

 By: patrick_y : May 27th, 2023-19:39
Considering if we have 20 pieces demanded just by WPS members, that means that there's probably 200 to 800 pieces or more being demanded externally. It also doesn't make sense that Chopard would launch a watch at this price point and only make 60 pieces a...

Not getting happy vibes!

 By: patrick_y : May 27th, 2023-20:53
If the production is really only in the low 100s per year, then a lot of us won't be getting the watch for a very long time! Not a good feeling!

Definitely, mon ami.

 By: Pretty Boy : May 27th, 2023-14:16
I should get it by the end of 2023.

I'm thinking I'll get mine in late 2024 or 2025.

 By: patrick_y : May 27th, 2023-17:59
If they tell me late 2024, that means probably 2025. Always anticipate that they'll be late.

Oui! Crossed fingers!

Yes sir and had the pleasure of meeting fellow purist Kevin

 By: Horology75 : May 26th, 2023-06:23
Meeting Jacky Ickx and having dinner with him was a great experience . Legend indeed ! Wish you had come ..

Thanks for sharing the pics of this beauty. It's THE CHOICE for me too from W&W 2023.

 By: Moka-Tiger (Ron) : May 26th, 2023-00:51
If you don't mind, please share your impressions after seeing it in person? I trust it's even better in the metal. One design improvement I read about is the narrower bezel compared to the regular line AE. Was that noticeable? And do share pics when you g...

I've seen it in person

 By: DarrenKats : May 26th, 2023-04:06
And the proportions are amazing. The more narrow bezel/larger dial is noticeable and look great. The thinness of the watch over the standard Alpine Eagle is even more noticeable. I have the green dial standard AE. You will love this version!

Good to know!

 By: patrick_y : May 26th, 2023-06:04
How do you like your standard version? Not getting too many scratches on the polished portion of the clasp? I really liked the standard version and I said that the wide bezel made the watch look smaller than its 41mm size actually is. I also said that if ...

Love the standard version!

 By: DarrenKats : May 26th, 2023-12:22
Agree that it wears smaller. Not a scratch magnet at all. Lucent steel must be harder than normal. My steel Rolex clasps pick up scratches much more easily. Also agree the L.U.C. movement takes it to another level!

Good to know!

 By: patrick_y : May 27th, 2023-04:46
Yes, Lucent steel is about 30% harder than 316L steel. 904L used on Rolex is slightly harder than 316L. The harder the steel, normally the brighter it can be polished. So the A223 Lucent steel should be whiter and shinier too. The Rolex 904L steel is alre...

Thanks for the input. It sounds amazing. Now I am more excited than ever to see one in the metal.

 By: Moka-Tiger (Ron) : May 26th, 2023-12:48
I heard the improvemets put this AE model over the top. Hopefully, it will be able to see one, and hopefully when I do it will be the one for me.

Very nice watch . Especially on the wrist πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Had the chance to try it during W&W ...

Love it and put down a deposit, but it will be 2024 or 2025 for the delivery
