How do you like your standard version? Not getting too many scratches on the polished portion of the clasp? I really liked the standard version and I said that the wide bezel made the watch look smaller than its 41mm size actually is. I also said that if they put an LUC 1.96 movement in it, I'd buy it. Well, looks like they did.

The L.U.C. movement and the disappearance of the date window pushed me over the line (and the beautiful dial).

And the proportions are amazing. The more narrow bezel/larger dial is noticeable and look great. The thinness of the watch over the standard Alpine Eagle is even more noticeable. I have the green dial standard AE. You will love this version!

Agree that it wears smaller. Not a scratch magnet at all. Lucent steel must be harder than normal. My steel Rolex clasps pick up scratches much more easily. Also agree the L.U.C. movement takes it to another level!
