Chopard

While a time only three hander (plus date) I find the watch has a certain drivers appeal. The high frequency (57,600 vph) movement, the fantastic legibility (at a glance) and the reasonable weight due to the titanium case all contribute to it. OK - watch ...  

Was the Tech Twist era at Chopard when this one came out, so quite some experimentation 👍🏻

Not quite sure what Chopard is intending to do with the movement going forward but I highly applaud them on the boldness of giving an 8Hz watch a try 😊👏🏻

I really like the texture of the dial and the simple and clean look of the whole watch plus the nice contrast of the second counter against the colour of the dial. Wear and enjoy it in good health. Marc

A rare occasion where I use the watch on an OEM strap 😉 The offset crown and small seconds used to be a theme for Chopard for a while 👍🏻

And color theme going on here . Not often seen!

Not in the classical elegant sense but in a slightly more avant-garde way 🙌🏻

I've wondered in the past - does the uber high beat come with a shorter maintenance cycle?

I have to admit I don’t wear it that often to really know 🤷🏻‍♂️

A short maintenance cycle was what kept me from pulling the trigger when it came out. Ha, shoulda just shot from the hip ! : )

With more than 5 watches in the collection (😉), the time the watch is wound and running is not that high. And I guess it’s designed for the additional frequency. They can still be found - the watch is certainly an acquired taste, so they did not all disap... 

Do you have other straps for it? A Light Gray to Match the Dial with red stitching and red underside would change it big time.
