As Patrick raised the topic of micro rotor movements, I went to the safe to bring out the LUC Sport 2000 - my classical specimen from the field. The Cal 4.96 movement is the sporty derivative of the 1.96, with a tad less finishing and a black(ish) tungste...  

In fact this is still one of my favourite watches even though it is far from being the most expensive I own. It really punches way above its cost with an amazing dial, markers and hands plus of course a great micro motor LUC movement seen through the case...  

They were never particularly common and I have the feeling they are shown and shared even more rarely these days, so it’s super nice seeing another one. And fully agree with all the additional points you have raised 👌🏻👍🏻

But will do my best to wear it more. The vibe is different indeed. And while the bezel might be a design element from another era, the majority of the design choices are timeless enough 😊👍🏻

because of its very original identity and design. For me it's the reverse of the Alpine Eagle XPS: not a dressed up sports watch, but a dressed down LUC or a dress watch made sporty. I’m not fond of the seconds hand counterweight, but the mention of LUC i... 

It was a different era and the LUC sunbeams was still on the way to being established, so I kind of appreciate the design choice but also understand that not everyone does 👍🏻

I’m conscious that it might very well be a detail I wouldn’t mind or even like in real life! So I promise that I won’t mention it again next time you give us the pleasure of seeing this watch!

We all have different opinions and it does the debate good to voice them. And I am certainly not deterred from using or posting the watch 😊

I’ve never seen the watch in real life. So I should keep in mind that it’s a detail I could very well not mind or even like in real life!

I got the white/silver dial version at an excellent price, but after looking at it over time,suddenly everything feels right,especially under sunlight. I definitely need to do justice by changing the after market strap on mine. Its really an every day wat...

I did get much valuable insight from this forum before I purchased the luc sports 2000. I'm glad we have like minded individuals who share their thoughts openly. I appreciate the efforts from likes of Emmanuale amongst others ,who do so much research and ...

Usually. They also appear to be past the bottom price point but I would still call them very decent value 👌🏻👍🏻
