Chopard

Long time no see - the micro rotor Chopard LUC Sport 2000 πŸ”΅πŸ€Ί

As Patrick raised the topic of micro rotor movements, I went to the safe to bring out the LUC Sport 2000 - my classical specimen from the field. The Cal 4.96 movement is the sporty derivative of the 1.96, with a tad less finishing and a black(ish) tungsten rotor instead of the classical golden one.

The watch comes from a different era and is probably one of the more elegant sports watches. It’s slim enough due to the movement allowing that, still has a 100m WR and can be used for pretty much everything, depending on the strap chosen. And should be stealthy enough for being worn in most locations, without too much risk of being spotted by the wrong people.

In the old days - or for people unlike us - it could comfortably work as an only watch. Unfortunately I do not see Chopard currently bringing out a sporty LUC (the Alpine Eagle covers that segment nowadays) but it’s nice they did do it at some point.

Have a great hump day πŸ‘‹πŸ»
