I tried my best to do it justice with a phone camera but it’s one of those watches that you have to see in the metal to fully appreciate.

Both the 36mm and 41mm look great on your wrist. That steel looks amazing! Did you have a preference between the two sizes? On some blogs, I've heard that 36mm wears small but it looks very wearable to me.

Not bad on the wrist. I can see the roots in it, but also a few features from other watches (VC, AP, Hublot, Patek.). I don't like that at all, too obvious for the trained eye. What's with the trend of mixing successful designs from the past to outlive t... 

Where the case tapers to the integrated bracelet down to the non-Maltese cross links reminds me of the first series VC Overseas. The case shape is pre-Biver Hublot ("Hublot Classic") .. Of course, with those screws, it could be from any of the ones who po... 

but I do like the new Santos bracelet with their easy link system also the x71 of Blancpain is IMO the bracelet to beat not forgetting the LUC pro bracelets

I prefer the date at 4:30 specially on lumed dials, but you’re right it’s not going to affect Rolex’s and Patek’s steel premiums and waiting lists. But trust me this one is to be seen in the metal to fully appreciate case, bracelet

The dial - especially the blue one - looks fantastic and the fact that a date free version exists is a definite bonus. As for the rest I see the reference to the but would not say that's the most iconic line from Chopard. I would much rather have seen a ...
