The case shape is perhaps inelegant and not interesting enough movement to make up for it. Makes me appreciate a piece like the Patek 5124g.

I must say it looks wonderful on your wrist. As you say, the only problem for me might be that my wrist is a little too small for this not-so-small tonneau case. I really think Chopard did a great job with this watch and I love the shaped 96 caliber. Best... 

The other being the Parmigiani Fleurier Kalpa XL Hebdomadaire - probably even bigger. The Breguet Heritage, the Patek 5098, or a Cartier Tortue might work very well if a tonneau case appeals. Some of the smaller PF Kalpas from the previous decade, or the ...  

The 5098P has very rarely left my wrist since I acquired it last July: I couldn’t love it more.

not-so-small tonneau shape needs a slightly larger wrist than mine. The photo of Modernahab’s example above seems to confirm this impression. Best, Emmanuel

Dial is quite striking and appears huge, but in a tasteful way, though I suspect its not significantly large, just appears so. I dont think it overwhelms the wrist and certainly makes it very easy to read the time, and admire the dial!

Like you I think that there’s a lot to love in this timepiece, but I think the case is just a little too large for my smallish wrist. At least, something feels a bit odd for me. Best, Emmanuel

shaped movements are indeed rare to come by. Watches are fine but their clients must have very big wrists. Given that you are asking for our opinion, it look too large on your wrist. Tonneau watches should be delicate. Breguet Héritage in traditional size...

if the watch had been done recently. They’ve evolved positively on this aspect, as with the steel/salmon 1860.

Should wear ok but again, never know until you strap it on. The dial is bit too wide and kind of “unbalanced” to my eyes.

I want to love it but somehow it does not fully gel with me. I feel omitting the date would help a bit but somehow the proportions don’t look fully harmonious to me 🤷🏻‍♂️ But hat off for the shaped movement and the effort going into to it 👏🏻👍🏻 ...
