Well, I tend to disagree for one reason: Cartier invested a lot in R&D
First of all, thanks for your message.
Cartier is maybe the brand which has invested the most in movement developments during the last years.
So I can tell you that the horological contents of Cartier watches are much above the quartz movement of The chronoscaph you are displaying. The Chronoscpaph is a a watch with a strong design what is its best asset. But the movement is not unforgettable.
Please discover the Cartier collection and you will find watches which will meet your expectations.

I am not a Cartier fan, but I think you are totally wrong.
They made some interesting movements. Now, you like the style of their watches or not, but movements speaking, they deserve some interest. It is just up to you to discover the Cartier universe. Best, Nicolas

There are a ton of Cartier watches with "mechanical" movements that are very interesting, particularly the discontinued CPCP models. If you're only looking at the quartz models, then yes, they can be a bit of a disappointment.
