There are a ton of Cartier watches with "mechanical" movements that are very interesting, particularly the discontinued CPCP models. If you're only looking at the quartz models, then yes, they can be a bit of a disappointment.

Not so long ago, Cartier's entry level and most commonly seen Tanks, Ballon Blu, Pasha, Santos models etc all use basic ETA movements (correct me if I am wrong). Indeed the movements are nothing special. Perhaps that is why they are not good enough for Al...
