The tank is what brought me to the brand, although I yet have to get one. As part of a rotation the manual caliber is just fine, only takes a few seconds and requires little effort. I have a slight preference for the cleaner dial and guilloche pattern of ... 

The manual does seem to add more diversity to my collection and I have a soft spot for manual wind watches which still are in a very small minority in my collection

...please let me make my case for the black sheep of the family: The Pasha C (in this case a GMT). It is not famous for being seen on the wrist of Jackie O or Lady Di, nor was it designed for an aeronautic pioneer. No...the story is most likely just that....

...but if you're set on new from boutique with warranty, etc the range is unfortunately limited as Cartier seems to drop the Pasha from its line up every now and then. Just another charming aspect of the unloved Pasha. But you could be richly rewarded for...  

because it is a rectangular watch. Looks more elegant. But both are nice. No matter if automatic or hand wind.

Really only you can decide which one you like best and there are no wrong choices. The only thing I would say is that it is amazing how quickly the brain can adjust to a smaller watch on the wrist and it becomes normal quite quickly, well at least for me ... 

I’ve been leaning to smaller watches for the past few years and can’t hardly believe I used to wear proudly 47mm Panerais without any issue. Nowadays they seem unwearable on my wrist so it is definitely a matter of habit

Do you think these watches pair well with casual (T-shirt and jeans) clothing?

with a strap would be my choice. In my opinion that watch is in good size and it can be worn with all clothing both dressy and casual.

That’s the traditional look. And as others have said you will get used to the size quickly. The Tank will also look appropriate with a sweatshirt or sweater, once you wear it with them. In fact, you may not want to wear anything else.
