Tanks on the smaller side make more sense, to me.
That’s the traditional look. And as others have said you will get used to the size quickly. The Tank will also look appropriate with a sweatshirt or sweater, once you wear it with them. In fact, you may not want to wear anything else.

I’ve been leaning to smaller watches for the past few years and can’t hardly believe I used to wear proudly 47mm Panerais without any issue. Nowadays they seem unwearable on my wrist so it is definitely a matter of habit
