Cartier Tortue feedback
By: overgrower420 : June 14th, 2022-17:49
Hi all, I'm seeking some assistance on a Cartier Tortue watch I bought from a consignment site. The caseback Cartier script is not one I’ve seen before. And I see a JC stamp but thought those were for London watches? The Cartier font on the dial looks sma...
It looks legit to me, though I am certainly no expert.

It has lots of hallmarks, but this is probably due to the fact that it was imported to England and sold by Cartier in London (the JC hallmark and the adjacent three hallmarks to the right). The three hallmarks below would be the original French ones (the ...

Beautiful vintage torture

I have been looking for this particular model for quite a while with no luck. Congrats and enjoy. Those secret signature that you mentioned came in a bit later, this vintage one doesn’t have it.
The ones I have seen have P21 movement in them.

Pretty much thin movement by Piguet Cal. 21. Not sure about yours, the P21 usually has 960xxxx on the case back. Earlier Cartier Tank LC extra plat versions used Jager movements.
