I did something really bad this week please tell me I am not going to watch hell.

 

Hi all so I need to make a confession to something really bad I did this week but I really had little choice in if I should do it or not, please tell me I am not headed for the seventh circle of watch hell for my misdeed.

I had bought this watch for my mother but @94 she found it was too heavy for her to wear comfortably so I decided to keep it for myself, but I can count on my fingers the number of times I have worn it over the last 5 years. As I have managed to reduce the number of watches I have and will not add anymore without one leaving first so this was the one that had to go. I would like to point out I don't view or buy watches as an investment and never had I would have saved a small fortune with the money I have lost on watches over time. Interestingly since buying this watch its value rose sharply showing an incredible 140% on Chrono24's valuations in my collection and then suddenly in July it dropped about 40% followed by more decreases until it was showing just a 35% rise. What was really strange was these drops happened just as gold started its record breaking rise, which made little sense to me if any. So I reached out to a few dealers but all their responses were the same "Not interested in this watch at the time" now the reason i wanted to sell it was due to the fact a special watch I wanted and missed out on as was on hold for a long time became available and I needed to act fast or risk losing it.
