Cartier's Santos... Anyone Else Have A Newfound Appreciation For Their Classic Square Style?

 

I do love that the Cartier is a true sports watch since it has a 100m waterrproof rating. Must admit, been looking at the Santos series a bit more seriously today, yet am waiting for the H. Moser Streamliner Purple Haze so that comes first.

its the only thing that has kept me away from it

All typical metal watches scratch when worn. So yes, if you wear a timepiece like a tool watch it will scratch up usually.

Have you tried ceramic timepieces? The Tudor BB Ceramic is METAS certified and exceptional waterproof rating too, love mine! ...

from a brand's history perspective

I would expect Patek to do a knock-off of a Cartier watch, for example Patek‘s Twenty~4 which is a copy oder Cartier‘s Tank Française.

This is honestly a much more successful integration of the square and the round shapes than either nautilus or cubitus have achived.
