Cartier Privé Tank Asymétrique joins the family
Apr 18, 2021,04:07 AM
I am loving the direction Cartier is going. Under Cyrille Vigneron, I am seeing so many pieces that I would love to add to my collection. I collected this Asymétrique a few months ago and did not have the chance to introduce it here yet. So here it is.
Since I was sleeping on the CPCP Asymétrique released in 2006, I jumped at the chance to order it this time. I love many classical-styled watches with a creative design to tell time (e.g. VC Mercator) and this one is for sure one of them. Here are some photos to share of this oddball yellow gold beauty.
Previously nicknamed parallélogramme, this 2020 release has a lovely triple-lug construction and arabic numerals, instead of roman numerals which are used frequently by Cartier.
Odd, playful and yet harmonious.
Powered by Cartier's in-house 1917 MC movement in a 47 mm x 26.2 mm case, it is absurdly thin and I love it! The case is slightly larger this time compared to previous Asymétriques
Ah, the blue cabochon against the vintage coloured yellow gold case.
Best regards and hope you are all having a wonderful weekend
