Ballon bleu is more feminine and imho timeless design. Women love it. I have to admit that I considered it overpriced, being only steel and with a simple quartz movement (not even thermocompensated). In the end you pay for brand and design (yes it happens... 

and she loved it. It is her most precious watch, and she often tells me that she gets lot of comments and compliments from her friends. IMO you can not go wrong with it
