You're question already knows the answer. :-) No, it doesn't make sense. The movement isn't well-enough finished to merit a display back. This isn't a criticism, however.
The Type XX just isn't that kind of watch.

It had a date 😉 I love these Type XXs. I had one for years, and I let it go. I think I’ll have to correct that at some point.

I'm finally getting my aeronovale tomorrow. Just thinking out loud..... Would it be possible to change the back to a see through sapphire case back? Does it even make sense to do so? Thanks!
