Yep. Really charming, and this blue dial, turning to purple depending of the light, makes me think about the dial of the Reverso Tribute small seconds blue. [nt]

You're question already knows the answer. :-) No, it doesn't make sense. The movement isn't well-enough finished to merit a display back. This isn't a criticism, however.
The Type XX just isn't that kind of watch.
So, do the limited edition type xx with a sapphire case back have a better finish? [nt]
