Yes, you are right...
...it is quite a personal thing... As is the color of gold... I have plenty of steel watches and I love their color... but in my ancient(!) mind gold is always yellow and the rather warm shade of it... like the one found in jewels of ancient (again) Egypt... But that is a matter of personal taste and I do not want to impose this taste to anyone...
On the other hand, as Jack says, think of a White Gold Olympic medal LOL!!!!
