Type XX 3800ST Aeronvale

I have an opportunity to pick up one of these at what I think is an attractive price, it was one of many aspirational pieces I had when starting my collection and whilst my attention has since been diverted elsewhere i am in search of a daily beater thinking about giving this another look.
There are lots of what some may perceive to be negatives including polished surfaces, depreciation and not least height but taking that as an aside and for the benefit of a quick refresher would any owners please let me know your thoughts and share any experiences.

Depreciation as " it doesn't keep its value "? If yes, it is the case with most of the watches of the market. The Type XX 3800ST is a lovely watch with a lot of character and sensuality. Go!

There's a slight depth to the subdials. No date window is a plus for me. The dome shape of the crystal is iconic. I wouldn't call it a daily beater due to the polished surfaces, as you point out but it can be worn in a variety of situations. It dresses up...

Nice watch indeed, to me much nicer than the "Transatlantique" (with date window) not to mention the type XXI that I really dislike.

Beware though I recently saw a fake that was quite well made and I only noticed I was fake with the back engravement which was differing from the original. Unfortunately I did not keep photos to show, but it is always good to be aware also because it is n...

You won't regret it! I've had mine for almost two years and it has been my most worn piece since, by far! A pleasure to wear, own, and enjoy! Congrats in advance, and please keep us posted on your decision, Cheers, Alex ...
