Torn between Traditions!
Nov 22, 2023,23:20 PM
I love the Breguet 7597 — a beautiful watch that blends modern with traditional so nicely. But I find myself torn between two of the versions: the original silver colored dial, and the somewhat newer blue dialed version.
The blue dial does such a nice job creating a contrast between the movement mechanisms and the dial, and blue gives it a bit more “pop.” The silver dial, on the other hand, preserves Breguet’s traditional beauty and, perhaps, better displays the beautiful guilloche work on the dial.
I know beauty is wholly in the eye of the beholder, but curious if people here have a preference for one over the other. Many thanks!

I might prefer silver slightly.

It would be more versatile with different strap options. Can't go wrong either way though!
I've tried these on too many times!

I'm a little obsessed. Both dials are very nice. I like the added color of the blue. The retro date is amazing, I like the retro seconds, see below (4 visits to boutiques!) ...

You are going to wear it with this black croco strap than I’d choose the blue dial, as it is more versatile. The white dial with black strap is too clashing and serious, too dressy, for it to be a more versatile piece it requires different and softer color...
I much prefer silver

…especially if it’s your only Breguet. The silver dial is classic Breguet and really showcases the guilloche. The blue is surely nice but I’d only go for it if I already had a silver dial Tradition (which I do, and love!).
Going to have to agree

The silver dial is best. I don't like white lacquered hands. Plus, the blued hands on silver contrast super well. Good luck. I may soon end up with a Tradition as well.
In this WG color case, the silver suits better??

It's a beautiful dial and unmistakably Breguet. It's a hard decision for sure, but for this one, I think the silver works better. On the other hand, I preferred the dark dial in the RG case. (Mine is black dial, not blue). Both are beautiful, and you coul...
I would go with the blue.

Gives a nice "contemporary" touch to the Tradition design language.
