You reminded me of a couple of other features of the WG La Tradition. One of the things I love about the La Tradition in general is the architecture of the gear and hand setting trains. Being rendered in YG, these stand out even more in the WG version, as does the complex reserve de marche planetary gear system on the back. The blued screws (and the parachute) also contrast wonderfully. This is probably what brings me to describe the WG La Tradition as ‘jewel like’.
As you say, they are both beautiful, and you really can't go wrong with either.

I may be biased as I usually prefer my watch in white metal, but then the blued screws and parachute do look very nice against the WG background. The WG version also comes with a dark blue croc strap to go with the blued screws/parachute....
