wears amazingly well even for someone with a small wrist like mine. The slim bezel helps too. It is just 11.65mm thick so really perfect.
A few years back I did try the 37mm and it wasn't as readable for sure. This new version has also a stunning charcoal frost finish. The rotor has a gold black polish finish that is also not an easy feat to achieve. Finish is certainly at a very high level -- I dare to say equal and possibly higher than other high end watches in my collection like Lange and Patek.

The 7097 has a different movement with some small but interesting differences including the retrograde model. Now talking about your model vs. the 7057 to be honest I don't see why the 40mm bothers you I think that different people like would be attracted...

The rose gold, for example, is certainly one of the most desirable (and the white gold the less one as your Breguet looks like a "toy" in this version Regarding your model, of course Breguet added new complications which are nice. But, to be really honest...
conservative is good for this "la tradition" model :)
