Hi Christian,
The main problem with the 7057 compared to the 7027 (or the 7037 but this automatic watch never knew any evolution if I am right) is the addition of these 2mm (just a marketing way that Breguet should avoid). Why, because just the case increase, the caliber and dial sizes stayed the same.
That is why you have a really visible "angle" between the perimeter of the dial and the bezel instead of a right angle on the 7027. Why not... but it adds nothing for me.
But the main mistake of this watch is, as I already exposed, the increase of the sub dial (with minutes and hours) and, especially, the departure point of the power reserve hand which is at nine on this dial. It is particularly awful and it makes no sense as you have the same indicator on the backside. For me it is a real mistake and lack of taste from Breguet.
In my opinion, this "evolution" between these both references is just an answer to clients who ask for bigger watches. Nothing else as no "real work" was made.
Of course, it is just my feeling but I know several watch collectors who have the same feeling about this specific point.

I haven't spent a lot of time with the the 7057 but...
The 7097 has a different movement with some small but interesting differences including the retrograde model. Now talking about your model vs. the 7057 to be honest I don't see why the 40mm bothers you I think that different people like would be attracted...

The rose gold, for example, is certainly one of the most desirable (and the white gold the less one as your Breguet looks like a "toy" in this version Regarding your model, of course Breguet added new complications which are nice. But, to be really honest...
conservative is good for this "la tradition" model :)
feel free to post photos of yours ! I still think Breguet move to keep both the 37mm and 40mm is a smart one and covers a bigger spectrum of the market.

wears amazingly well even for someone with a small wrist like mine. The slim bezel helps too. It is just 11.65mm thick so really perfect. A few years back I did try the 37mm and it wasn't as readable for sure. This new version has also a stunning charcoal...
