Just got my Breguet 1775 back from servicing . .
after 12 long weeks. I acquired the watch in 2005 and just sent it for servicing for the first time earlier this year (2011). I don't really feel the need to send a watch for servicing unless it starts to lose/gain time. I find that to be somewhere between 5-7 years. The cost was around $1600 but that included a new strap.
I have found my interactions and dealings with Breguet absolutely professional! Hope this helps.

Update
I did hear back from Breguet. They gave a fairly non-descript explanation of what went wrong. It boils down to it needs to be lubricated and serviced. Ultimately, they are charging just $120 more than a standard service to replace the time zones hour whee...
