For you. . . .

I"m going to try to take pictures and post.  But I've never done this before (as I am technologically challenged).

In trying to achieve this task, I have developed a newfound respect for the watch photographers on our forum.  I can't seem to get rid of shadows, or achieve the clarity and focus that others have.  I'm sure one of the problems is that I'm using my iphone wink.

So without further adieu:

This is such a rare bird that it is worth some efforts!

I sold mine before knowing how to take decent pics...

I regret it, deeply.

Best,

Nicolas.

OOPS!

I clicked on insert to try to insert pictures but instead. . . .the post was was inserted.
I'm going to try this again. . .

The first picture is of the face of the Breguet 1775. I would love to be able to take a picture of the "secret signature" near the 12. The second picture is a picture of the Breguet 1775 with my Patek 3960g.  And the last picture is a picture of the back of the Breguet 1775.  You can still see the red tape as it is just back from servicing.  The decorated movement is much prettier in real life.  Enjoy!!

Ok, now, you just have to select a bigger size of pics, before posting it.

Hmmm, a delight!

The delicate case, the warm enamel dial and these Breguet hands are so beautiful!

Best,

Nicolas.

one last time. . . .

maybe i'll finally get the hang of it. . . . . . .

and then, you may have just opened the floodgates!!

well now that the pictures a larger, you can see all the shadows, and fuzziness from my iphone!!!  really, (i know i'm biased), i don't think my pictures do justice to the actual watch!  the enamel is beautiful - i love the numerals and the coined edging, the cabachon crown, the finish on the decorated movement.  i could go on and on.

we'll just need to arrange a personal viewing sometime - maybe a european gtg next year wink

we'll try to arrange a personal viewing, for sure!

I did hear back from Breguet.  They gave a fairly non-descript explanation of what went wrong.  It boils down to it needs to be lubricated and serviced.  Ultimately, they are charging just $120 more than a standard service to replace the time zones hour wheel.  Total comes to $1240, which is better than I feared.  All in all, it could be a lot worse.  Seems a fair price to turn it back into essentially a brand new 5707 with a two year warranty.  Of course, now I wait for a couple of more months for it be completed.....

I may ultimately look to sell it once I get it back in completely revitalized form.  If anyone has suggestions on how best to do so, I would welcome them.
