It would be one this if a fault showed up after a fair number of months. But with a brand new, out of the box and fairly pricey watch to exhibit such a fault initially is rather disheartening. Of course it would be an easy thing to fix, but somehow, having a brand new watch thus repaired locally diminishes it. I was prepared to press the AD to return it for factory service if they offered to fix it locally.
All things considered, I believe that the AD handled things in the proper manner, even if going to such lengths may be uncommon in today's service bereft world.
I'm somewhat new to fine watches. I bought my first one about 5 years ago (a TAG Heuer Link 36 Calibre) and have been buying about one a year since then. This AD carries a number of brands I like. There are also a couple other Breguet models that interest me. So in all likelihood, this AD will get more of my business, and I will probably buy, in due course, another Breguet -- in part because I have reason to believe that I may have confidence in the brand and deal with confidence with this AD.

Frank
