Is a Breguet Type XX a true Breguet?
Hello kind member,
I am asking a question I already know the answer to. I suppose I am seeking reassurance.
Is the Breguet Type XX a true Breguet?
A few friends of mine - complete snobs - were saying the Type XX 3820 I own is a fine watch but.... not a true Breguet?
I was gutted.
How could they say this.
The Breguet enjoys an in-house movement. Lemania is a fine name - just ask Patek Philippe!
The Breguet Type XX is so cool and was the chrono I choose when buying - I could have had a Rolex Daytona for the same money.
I chose the Breguet for the most beautiful dial, flyback chrono.
I am sorry for asking this silly question.
I think my friends were just stirring me up a bit......

I could see the argument made, not that I'd make it, that most of the classique and La Tradition models build on the aesthetic elements of the original Breguet, Abraham. The Type XX clearly does not, but springs from works done by the company in the 30s a...
