1/ Your friends are not your friends.
2/ They have a special sense of humour.
3/ You have no sense of humour.

More seriously, once they said that, I would be very curious to hear their arguments.
Historically speaking, they may have one point:
Mathey Tissot made the Type XX for Breguet. Same case, dial and movement.
The Type XX was shared with several other brands.
I wrote " may " because Brands sharing cases, dials and movements was something common.
One example: The Super Compressor case was shared by many brands, the most known of them being JLC ( Polaris ), Longines ( Diver ), U.G ( POlerouter Sub ).
Do we have to say that these Watches are not belonging to their respective brands because of that?
Come on, let's be serious!
Now, of you are referring to your modern Type XX, I don't see their point, either...
This modern intepretation of the Type XX is strongly linked to Breguet. Aesthetically.
Mechanically, nothing to say. Who would complain about the Lemania? Ok, I would have preferred a manual winding movement, but the Lemania auto does the job, and fits the bill.
As for the case, the finish of the sides are so... Refined, so... Breguet!
Best,
Nicolas
