Hi Jack,
My pair of 5817 are working fine after 3+ years and 7+ months, respectively, but my 5707 has been sent to hospital in Switzerland for several months. The hour hand didn't "click" when adjusting it for setting the date. Perhaps I had been adjusting the hour hand too often for setting the date. I shall put the 5707 in a winder in future.
